BODEGAS BERONIA was founded in 1973 by a group of gastronomy lovers with a passion for good food and high quality wines. Acquired by Gonzalez Byass in 1981 and located in the heart of Rioja Alta, in the village of Ollauri, BERONIA is nowadays one of the key players in the popular region of RIOJA. Its name make homage to the “Berones”, Celtic Warriors who were the first inhabitants of this region, during the 3rd century B.C.

All our wines are produced from around 900 hectares of selected vineyards located around the winery (25Has owned by Gonzalez Byass) in Rioja Alta, with a complete range of wines divided into 2 lines: Classic Line and Modern Line. Always innovating, BERONIA was the first Bodega in Rioja using the mixed oak barrels, creating what we know today as “Beronia Style”. Since the year 2015 Beronia is producing as well a 100% Verdejo in the DO Rueda.
