Our wines are now available at Vinoble

June 23, 2017, 1:45 pm

We're pleased to share some great news about the launch of Vinoble Hong Kong. Vinoble is a boutique online wine store, where you'll find all of your favourite Italian, Spanish and South American wines from Amorosso as well as some malt whiskies and spirits.

The idea behind Vinoble.hk is that there are so many commercial wines that all taste the same - so why not drink something interesting instead. There's also a world of lesser known but high quality wines that are far more interesting to learn about and discover. And these wines are often significantly lower in price than commercial wines for the equivalent quality.

The online boutique stocks a great selection of wines from all the classic wine regions of the world: France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, USA, Australia, New Zealand - plus a fantastic collection of Malt Whiskies, Gins, Rums, Tequilas. Not to mention the latest wine accessories like Coravin and Zalto.

The Vinoble blog is also a great place to hear about the latest wine events and dinners - hosted by visiting wine producers at some of the hottest restaurants and venues around Hong Kong.

Wine Times interview Paolo de Marchi from Isole e Olena and Proprieta' Sperino

July 29, 2013, 5:54 pm

Today July 25 Lorenzo Tedeschi is 80 years old, and the family's celebrations provides an occasion to trace the fundamental episodes in the life of a man from the Valpolicella who impressed his personal, modern vision upon the estate now run by his children, Antonietta, Sabrina and Riccardo.

While the Tedeschi family has made wine since 1630, it is to Lorenzo that the winery, located in Pedemonte, owes its current organization. Indeed, it was he who transformed it from a family business into a modern company, and his were the ground-breaking intuitions that opened new paths. Beginning with Monte Olmi, whose grapes he vinified separately for the first time in 1964, producing one of the most important crus of the Valpolicella. Almost 20 years later, in 1983, he launched the Fabriseria project, to emphasize the exceptional nature of another of the estate's vineyards. A new Amarone cru destined to be produced only in exceptional vintages, those in which nature gives her best. Working with his children after having turned the winery over to them, he supervised the acquisition of the Maternigo property and the subsequent planting of the vineyards.

80 years dedicated to wine, and more importantly to the Valpolicella, without ever allowing himself to be distracted by fads, but rather thinking in terms of the future of the region.

A symbol of the Valpolicella, an able, capable businessman, and a family man: This is Lorenzo Tedeschi.

To him we shall raise goblets of Amarone, Ripasso, and Recioto di Valpolicella, because Lorenzo, in his many years as a winemaker, never forgot nor underestimated any of the wines his lands yield.

Happiest of birthdays, Lorenzo!
